The Connection between Testosterone and Prostate Cancer

Many men fear that if they receive treatment for low testosterone, they may end up getting prostate cancer. However, there is little scientific proof that there is an actual connection between the two. In fact, low levels of testosterone in the blood do not protect against prostate cancer and Low T levels may actually increase the risk of prostate cancer. According to an article published in the Journal of National Cancer Institute, no relationship was found between prostate cancer and testosterone and minor androgens. The study included more than 3,000 men with prostate cancer and more than 6,000 men without prostate cancer with findings suggesting that scientists finally move beyond the long-believed but unsupported view that high testosterone levels signal a risk for prostate cancer.

For men, testosterone therapy can help them regain their youthfulness and increase energy, stamina, strength, fitness, and overall well-being. Low T and hormone deficiency can cause some health conditions including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, fatigue, high blood pressure, and sexual dysfunction. HRT and Low T treatment can help prevent and regulate these issues as well as increase muscle strength, recharge sexual potency and libido, build a healthier metabolism, create more energy, and reduce cholesterol levels.
